Kate Larson and Nelly DeVault host regular fiber arts classes at the Trading Post. These informal sessions typically have a topic for discussion, but all are free to work on their own spinning and knitting projects as well. Unless otherwise noted, the cost for each 2-hour session is $15.

June 1 10–noon – Skirting & Sorting Fleeces with Kate
1–3pm – Building a Sheep Breed Notebook with Kate. All materials provided. Kate has a large collection of sheep-breed handouts and small amounts of wools. Help her destash while building a resource for easy and fun recordkeeping.
June 8 No classes.
June 15 10–noon –New Breeds: Polypay, Columbia, Corriedale with Nelly
1–3pm Open Spinning and Knitting with Nelly Bring what you’re working on and enjoy some peaceful fiber work. I will be available to help if needed.

July 6 10–noon – Shetland Lace Spun Two Ways with Kate Several of you have been asking questions about spinning for Shetland haps and lace. Come try several yarn styles with Shetland tops and fleece.
1–3pm – Marled Yarns Made Easy with Kate. Love the look of marled yarns, but hate spinning across the top of multiple tops or rovings? Kate will show you another way.
