Just want to send out a notice that there are still a couple of openings in the Color Workshop.

Unfortunately, Judith MacKenzie was unable to participate due to an unexpected surgery but we have found a very exciting and worthy replacement to teach with Kate.  Her name is Joan Contraman and she is the force behind the beautiful Crosspatch Creations batts and rovings that I sell in my shop.

Color! Exploring fiber, color, and inspiration with Joan Contraman and Kate Larson

“Color is a power which directly influences the soul.” – Wassily Kandinsky

Creating textiles gives us endless possibilities for exploring the interactions of color, fiber, and cloth. In this three-day workshop, Joan and Kate will help you cultivate your understanding of color and the textile skills that allow us to use color effectively. We will cover many of the ways in which spinners can manipulate color: dyeing, blending dyed fibers, yarn design, and more. Learn quick and effective ways to organize your color inspirations and create swatches that keep pace with your ideas. You will leave the workshop with a spinner’s notebook full of samples and a pathway for exploring color in textiles.

Join Joan and Kate in Pendleton, IN, on April 25-27. A few seats have just opened in this workshop. Contact Susan Markle at the Trading Post for details. tradingpostfiber@aol.com
